First Aid

Aviation First Aid Courses

Our specialist First Aid Training courses are designed specifically for aviation organisations, ensuring full compliance with both Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements. Delivered by experienced instructors with aviation sector expertise, our training equips your staff with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations—both on the ground and in the air. Whether you're a commercial operator, ground handling company, or private operator, we offer tailored training solutions to meet your operational needs and regulatory obligations. If your organisation has an operations manual, we can also ensure we comply with any criteria you have, enabling your pilots, ground crew and ops team to stay current and compliant for your operation.

One-day Fire and First Aid

Our one-day combined fire and first aid course is ideal for operators undertaking any form of commercial operation or flying training. Your pilots, ops team and ground crew will complete theoretical training and practical exercises including bleeding control, CPR, defibrillation and minor injuries management. It covers all elements required by annually the CAA and EASA for flying schools and commercial operators, and is also fun and engaging! If you have a requirement to provide a firefighting capability, we will also cover aviation firefighting techniques and use of extinguishers, fire blankets, and other firefighting equipment you may have. All of our instructors are active firefighters with an aviation background.

First aid at work (FAW)

As well as annual fire and first aid training for your operation, you may have a requirement for designated “first-aiders” for the ground based part of your organisation, which could be for your ops staff, hangar operations or engineering team. Our 3-day first aid at work course covers all of the HSE required criteria for the issue of a First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate, and satisfying the requirements of your first aid risk assessment. It is a qualification that is valid for 3 years, although annual refresher training is recommended. Unlike other first aid providers, our aviation and emergency services experience allows us to provide up to date, relevant and realistic training specifically for your type of business.

Emergency First aid at work (EFAW)

Some organisations, depending on the size and nature of your work, may require the EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work qualification instead of the full FAW. This course is a one-day course that fulfils the requirements of the HSE for the issue of an EFAW certificate, and is a great alternative if you don’t need a 3-day course!
